The Iron Shop reached out to us after researching the digital agency scene in and around Philly and, after doing some research of our own, we were very intrigued about their story.
Interestingly, we came to find that The Iron Shop, then in the market for a brand new website, was actually a subsidiary company of M. Cohen & Sons.
Max was at the top of his game – he had to be to build up a company with such strict attention paid to delivering unique products with high quality and true craftsmanship
The ‘M.’ we’d soon learn, stands for Max, a Russian blacksmith who came to America and started the company in 1931. Today, their high-end iron work is nothing short of incredible; roll down 5th Avenue in NYC and stop in at some of the premier shops such as Christian Dior and you’ll find their craftsmanship on display.
Clearly, Max was at the top of his game – he had to be to handcraft a company with such  strict attention paid to delivering unique products with high quality and craftsmanship.
Plus, it was obvious he was driven to instill a strong work ethic and customer focus so that his family had a foundation to build on top of his legacy. The Iron Shop is a subsidiary of M. Cohen & Sons that focuses exclusively on building high-quality, custom spiral staircases.
Despite having a rather complex set of requirements for their website redesign, we set out to forge a brand new look and series of digital experiences that not only put them on par with the other players in the niche space but, also told the story of an American company that’s obsessed with delighting its customers with the very-best spiral staircase products and customer experience – the new website only makes their jobs that much easier.
The brand new theironshop.com launched last week and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see the company now elevated with a well-branded web experience designed to perform.
