What is your favorite place that you’ve traveled to so far?
Poland, hands down. My dad’s parents immigrated from Poland after World War II, but we still have family that lives there in Gdynia, a port city right on the Baltic Sea.
Our trip started off in Warsaw for a few days, then we traveled around the country by train, visiting Krakow, Poznan, Sopot, Gdansk, and Gdynia. Our cousin translated my grandfather’s memoirs from Polish, so we were reading and retracing his steps as we explored the cities.
It’s a beautiful country with great food, stunning architecture, and unbelievably hospitable people. The experience as a whole was incredibly eye-opening and powerful, I’m very grateful for it.
What do you like about working at Durkan Group?
The culture at DG is unlike anywhere I have ever worked. You have all of these badass coworkers who are absolute experts in their respective fields keeping you on your toes to deliver 150%, but there are no egos.
The team really rallies around a collaborative approach when it comes to making sure the end product exceeds client expectations.
