Durkan Group is seeking a Digital Marketing Account Manager to serve as a key point of contact and digital marketing strategist to our portfolio of clients.
A successful Digital Marketing Account Manager at DG is a multi-disciplined problem solver, helpful mentor, and skilled client partner all rolled into one. Account Managers are the nerve center of our client engagement and take a hefty share of responsibility for proactively anticipating client needs, as well as scoping, leading, and delivering digital solutions. You will be responsible for face-to-face client interactions, analyzing and reporting website and campaign performance data, and translating client goals into actionable opportunities across various digital channels.
Key responsibilities:
- Strengthen client relationships, serving as a go-to resource and proactive strategist who identifies opportunities to improve digital performances. You’ll win clients over by asking the right questions, leading insightful, real-time dialogue, and making strategic recommendations that will push the needle for our clients’ digital presences.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses, services or products, competitors, technology stacks, etc.
- Create project scopes and manage team-wide tasking and assignments for ongoing client accounts, helping clear roadblocks for success.
- Assist project managers with general admin tasks for our website redesign projects such as client communication, project initialization, event scheduling, and milestone planning and tracking.
- Work in a variety of reporting systems and tools to create recurring digital marketing reports and dashboards, using this data to inform decision making and project recommendations.
- Generate project reports for clients and stakeholders that shows use of time, allocation of resources, statuses of upcoming tasks, and timelines.
What we’d like to see:
- 2-3+ years of account management experience, preferably in an agency environment.
- Expertise in and a passion for the digital world—you keep a pulse on what’s happening, and you always have a point of view on how businesses should adapt accordingly.
- A sixth sense for anticipating client needs, including the ability to ask clarifying questions, as needed, to gather scope details that may not be initially offered by client.
- Ability to translate data into trends and provide actionable recommendations to clients that align with their goals and that proactively scope new ways to grow existing accounts.
- Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager, preferably with Google certifications.
- Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking. You’re equally skilled at reading data for insights as you are reading clients for feedback.
- Demonstrated experience conducting keywords research with a tool like SEMRush or similar, leveraging on-page SEO tactics to improve search rankings and user experience.
- Knowledge of B2B social media best practices, especially on LinkedIn. You’re attuned to B2B social trends and are comfortable pitching creative ideas to clients and providing technical creative direction to our creative team.
- Basic understanding of email marketing, popular platforms (i.e. MailChimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, etc.) and best practices for deliverability.
- An innate disposition and desire to provide exceptional service to all parties. Our clients love us and for good reason. We are earnest, loyal, and committed to helping them succeed. Going beyond and taking great pride in our work is in our DNA.
Nice to haves:
- Experience using project management tools and employing project management principles.
- Knowledge of technical SEO, such as creating structured data markup, XML sitemaps, etc.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms.
- Familiarity with user experience design processes.
- Experience using WordPress.
